About NOLTA2023
The 2023 International Symposium on Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA2023) will be held at Cittadella Campus of the
University of Catania, Catania, Italy, Sep. 26–29, 2023. The objective of the symposium is to provide a forum for exchange of the latest
results related to nonlinear theory and its applications. Papers describing original results in all aspects of nonlinear theory and its applications
are invited.

Access and Venue
Access information
- From Vincenzo Bellini Fontanarossa airport

- Public transportation
You can take a bus, called "Alibus", which runs periodically (about every 20 minutes) between the airport, the central station and the city center. From there, you can continue by bus or metro. The metro stop to the city center is "Stesicoro", instead for the Cittadella Universitaria the metro stop is "Milo". Tickets for ALIBUS (4€) can be purchased through the app AMTS Catania, at the Airport information desk and also on board, in this latter case credit card is not allowed. Tickets for Metro can be purchased in the metro station. - Taxi
A trip costs about 25-30 euros depending on timetables and traffic.

- Shuttle service (free of charge)
The buses will leave from Piazza Stesicoro at 7.30AM, make a stop in Piazza Trento and then reach the venue for the beginning of each day schedule (8.40AM). At the end of the day, they will leave from the venue at 6.30PM (except on the gala dinner and final days when they will leave at 6.00PM and after the farewell party, respectively) making the reverse path. The service is performed on a first-come, first-served buses. - Public transportation
It is possible to reach the Cittadella Universitaria by taking the metro or several buses.
By Metro: Starting from the metro stop "Stesicoro" in the city center or other nearby, the metro stop for the Cittadella Universitaria is "Milo". From here it is possible to take an FCE bus to reach the University by using the same ticket.
By Bus: The possible buses to reach the Cittadella Universitaria are the following: 442, 429, BRT1. Tickets for all BUSES lines except ALIBUS (1€) can be purchased through the app AMTS Catania, and at hotel desks. Tickets for Metro can be purchased in the metro station. - Taxi

The symposium venue is located in the Cittadella Campus. The rooms are located on the ground floor (Room 1, 2, 3) and on the third floor (Room 4).
The banquet will be held at Museo Palazzo Biscari on Sep. 27th.
Presentation Instruction
1. Fully On-site Session Chairs and Speakers
Fully on-site sessions will take place during their scheduled times in a live and interactive format. Session chairs, (organizers,) and speakers are required to arrive in their session rooms 10 minutes in advance of the posted start time of the session to get set up. An LCD projector (with D-Sub 15 cables), a screen, and a laser pointer/pointing stick will be available in all the conference rooms. Mac users are requested to bring a VGA or HDMI interface adapter. The local meeting organizers and conference site are not responsible for the operation or safe keeping of computer-related equipment belonging to participants.
Session chairs will introduce each speaker. 14-15 minutes have been allotted for each talk, plus 3-4 minutes for questions. Please do not deviate from the schedule, even if a speaker finishes early.
2. Hybrid Session Chairs and Speakers
Hybrid sessions will take place during their scheduled times in a live and interactive format (using local session room and Zoom (the Session Room Information page)). Session chairs, (organizers,) and speakers are required to arrive in their session rooms 10 minutes in advance of the posted start time of the session to get set up.
For on-site participants
An LCD projector (with D-Sub 15 cables), a screen, and a laser pointer/pointing stick will be available in all the conference rooms. Mac users are requested to bring a VGA or HDMI interface adapter. The local meeting organizers and conference site are not responsible for the operation or safe keeping of computer-related equipment belonging to participants.
For online participants
You can access the Zoom meeting rooms from the Session Room Information page (preparing now). Please enter the Zoom meeting room and identify yourself to the symposium staff as a chair or speaker. The symposium staff person will assist you with testing audio, video, and screen share capabilities. If an issue arises during the session, please report it in the chat, and you will be assisted immediately.
Session chairs will introduce each speaker. 14-15 minutes have been allotted for each talk, plus 3-4 minutes for questions. Determining a protocol for when and how questions are received and answered is the chair/organizer's responsibility. Please do not deviate from the schedule, even if a speaker finishes early.
3. Fully Online Session Chairs and Speakers
Fully online sessions will take place during their scheduled times (in CEST) in a live and interactive format (using Zoom (the Session Room Information page)). Session chairs, (organizers,) and speakers are required to enter their Zoom sessions 10 minutes in advance of the posted start time of the session to get set up. You can access the Zoom meeting rooms from the Session Room Information page (preparing now). Please enter the Zoom meeting room and identify yourself to the symposium staff as a chair or speaker. The symposium staff person will assist you with testing audio, video, and screen share capabilities. If an issue arises during the session, please report it in the chat, and you will be assisted immediately.

Paper Submission
Authors are kindly invited to submit papers describing original works in all aspects of nonlinear theory and its applications to NOLTA2023. Please prepare your paper
according to the guidelines given below and submit via Submission Page not later than April 15, 2023 April 28, 2023 May 7, 2023.
Only electronic submission of papers in PDF format is accepted.
After review, each corresponding author for regular sessions will be requested to submit the four-page final camera-ready paper in PDF format for the symposium proceedings
not later than June 15, 2023 June 26, 2023.
The final camera-ready paper for each presentation in Special Sessions can be a one-page summary. Please note that the four-page final camera-ready manuscript is necessary for
a student to be eligible for paper awards.

2. Copyright Policy
All manuscripts accepted will be published in the symposium proceeding and appear in the open access online archive, IEICE Proceedings Series. To this end, corresponding authors of all manuscripts need to agree with the IEICE's copyright policy as in:
Copyright release only applies to accepted papers and will begin after decision notification has been sent. Additional information will be provided in your decision notification email.
3. Paper Submission

4. Submission of Camera-Ready Paper
Please submit your final camera-ready paper not later than June 15, 2023 June 26, 2023.
Call for Special Sessions
NOLTA2023 welcomes proposals for special sessions. Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness and the scientific quality of the topic. It is strongly recommended that each proposal includes at least one speaker from outside Japan. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by Mar. 15, 2023. Please submit proposals via email by Feb. 28, 2023 to: NOLTA2023 Special Session Proposal E-mail: ss@nolta2023.org Proposals should include:
- Title of the proposed session.
- Scope of the proposed session.
- Special session organizer, affiliation and e-mail.
- List of, at least five (or four) prospective contributed papers. For each paper, the following items should be included: title, author(s) and contact information of the corresponding author.
The final camera-ready paper for each presentation in Special Sessions can be a one-page summary. Please note that the four-pages final camera-ready manuscript is necessary for a student to be eligible for paper awards (see Student Paper Awards page)
Registration
Registration is required for you to present your work. At least one of authors should make a registration by June 19, 2023. It allows that one author registration for up to two papers.

CALL FOR PAPERS ON NOLTA JOURNAL
The open-access journal “Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA), IEICE" welcomes you to submit papers for the Special Section on Recent Progress in Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications, which will be included in the issue published in April, 2024. This Special Section is a joint project with NOLTA2023 and NOLTA Society, IEICE, inviting papers from researchers that are qualified to present their work in NOLTA 2023. The deadline for the paper submission is October 10, 2023. See Call for Papers for more details.
The initial decision is scheduled to be notified on November 10, 2023.
Student Paper Award
The NOLTA2023 Symposium Committee will present student paper awards. The award candidates should be a full student, and the first author and the presenter of the NOLTA2023 paper. In addition, the awarded paper should be a 4-page camera-ready manuscript. The selections of the awards are based on the quality, originality, and clarity of the paper and the presentation.
